During the 2023 Tube Council's annual convention, Kaufman Container was awarded the Gold Award in the Best Innovative Component or Process category for the submission of "Avya Skincare". We competed against the top tube manufacturers and distributors in the packaging industry and we are thrilled to receive this award. The tube you see in the picture, was the result of Kaufman Container and Global Packaging working together for a unique packaging solution for our customer.

About the Project
The customer came to us looking to launch a new moisturizer product that included SPF 40 sunscreen. This was going to be a high-end product and they wanted the packaging to reflect that. The customer’s two biggest goals were that the product would be launched in high-end looking packaging and product evacuation. To solve both of these, we recommended a 50 ml 5-layer Coex airless tube. An airless tube allows for the complete evacuation of their product and it allows consumers to dispense the product at any angle. For the closure, we supplied a unique custom rose gold metallic pump, collar, and overcap. The tube was then screen printed to match the rose gold closure. We originally launched with their “Fair/Light skin tone” SKU, and in 2022, we expanded the line to include a “Medium Skintone.” Both SKUs have performed fantastically, and re-orders have been placed for 2023.
